It's been a month since the most influential high school tournament in the Durango Fall Classic wrapped up, setting the stage for the remainder of the season in terms of the national rankings. Back then, though, there were still two months to go again a national champion would be crowned.

This week's Top 50 update signals a countdown of sorts. It is one of four regular-season rankings left before the final Top 50 gets announced the Monday after Thanksgiving, and with it our national champion. It's also the time of season when the playoffs start kicking off and those results have a significant impact on the national rankings. No team can be ranked ahead of another team it lost to in the state playoffs, so any big upsets can drastically rearrange the order of the Top 50.

Below, you can view the latest national rankings.
